Painted Furniture

July 20, 2011

I’m not talking about the found object, shabby-chic furniture of days gone by ( and don’t get me wrong, I love a painted and chipped table or dresser as much as the next guy…  Just in the right place like a beach house or cottage) In design it’s nice to have things that feel a bit more refined and yet still relaxed, especially if you don’t want a weekend/vacation house look 24/7.  I’m loving these painted pieces – and others like them – for clients right now that want a more relaxed look.  The wood and painted combo make for easy mix-matching, traditional pieces and furniture legs blend together nicely and the look stays easy and not too matchy-matchy.  I found these pieces on available from Sherrill Occasional.  The round lamp table 28″wx26″h.  Sherrill furniture is also a preferred vendor at Surroundings, call for pricing or come by for a look at their extensive line.
