Anthropologie Week – Day 7

January 28, 2011

So now you know how much I love pretty much everything about Anthropologie, and that includes the store itself. The space on 9th street in the Chelsea Market is modern, spacious and well-lit. There is a healthy dose of clean edgy and sleek, and a dash of layered, ethnic and earthy to make it work with the merchandise. Clearly the modern gal (and some guys) shops at Anthropologie. The fixtures and display props are carefully chosen. There is an old heavily decorated frame literally 12 feet tall and 8 feet wide – clearly an antique – with a modern painting of a forest in it, it’s a prop but there is a price tag… $12,000.00. And there are the not for sale props like these great looking tables. Steal this look! I tagged this post under Green Living because there is nothing more green that recycling old furniture bs buying new, and how cool is this dipped look? The tables were just ok looking before someone got the idea to paint them and leaving a small portion unpainted keeps them for being too cottage like. They read modern don’t they? Fresh and unexpected, and I love them. Got an old table? Paint it! need a sumthin sumthin for your house or apartment?  Go to Anthropologie, house-warming gift, hostess gift, birthday present?  Go to Anthropologie.
