30 Something

November 10, 2010

You don’t have to be 30 something to love this light fixture in a formal room (like the dining room), but it helps.  Young clients are looking for updated, sleek light fixtures that work with traditional architecture but feel hip and current and this one fits the bill.  Produced by Visual Comfort – designed by Thomas O’Brien – this fixture is available in two sizes any several finishes including: brass, polished nickel, and bronze.

I like this chandelier because it makes a statement and has presence without being overwhelming.  And there is a warmth to it with the tipped parchment shades that glow warmly when lit.  There is something a bit machine age about it, a little Deco and a whole lot stylish.  It would be great in a dining room, but at home in a foyer, large bathroom or kitchen for that matter.  Love it!
