Jane Churchill

Jane Churchill has built an international reputation for creating fresh designs specifically intended to work together to produce a wide range looks, both contemporary and traditional.  I love the wide range of styles, it’s so easy to include Jane Churchill fabrics when I’m creating a scheme for a client be it country, modern, urban or…  epitomised by an easy-to-live-with tone, each collection offers a broad mix of fabrics, wallpapers and trimmings so there really is something for everyone.  Eye-catching wallpapers work across all the ranges yet are strong enough to be used on their own; trimmings are innovative and pretty. With a colour-palette that is constantly evolving, each new collection is always right up-to-the-minute so that, with Jane Churchill, it couldn’t be easier to co-ordinate and pull together any look you want for your home.  I chose to post this image because I just ordered the fishy fabric for a client that is building on the water.  We wanted so fun and whimsy but seashells seemed so overplayed, then we saw this fish fabric from Jane Churchill and knew it set the right tone, FUN.

The stunning 2010 Collection takes a new look at Jane Churchill’s romantic tradition of story-telling through design. Inspired by images of land and sea, this outstanding collection offers an exciting range of confident colour combinations and appealing designs. It features supremely stylish signature prints of flowers or coral fronds on fresh linen ground; ferns and glorious embroidered country flowers; light-hearted fish appliqués; seaside stripes and patchwork as well as an expansive range of plains, denims and textured chenilles all in contemporary tones from deep chocolate to pure white.  The bright new palette highlights a wide choice of colourful combinations. I am drawn to the sophisticated layering of soft yellows and greys; or the prettiest coral red ; as well as fresh new greens mixed with unexpected tones of moss and lime. There are elegant aquas and greens in company with an extensive range of easy-to-live with neutrals, stones and creams. As always, the collection offers classic Jane Churchill pinks and greens in updated shades and the freshness of blues and whites. Refreshingly, original, this latest collection, perfectly expresses the enduring appeal of Jane Churchill… and It’s perfect for the time of year, and my client base.
