PATTERNless

This is a beautifully decorated room,  I love it for its simplicity and the calming effect it has due to the lack of pattern ( ok,ok, the drapes have a subtle diamond pattern).  And the color palette is also serene and restful, nothing to aggressive or bold. These details allow the shapes and forms of the furnishings to stand out, like that beautiful bench with bolsters floating effortlessly in the middle of two seating areas.  The rug looks like chinchilla, thick and supple, I can only hope there is a fire-place just out of view.  The rich velvety texture of the rug is echoed on the club chair and the sofas pillows.  This is definitely a comfortable room designed to be used and enjoyed.
