Window Treatments 101 – Matching Wallpaper

I love the look of one strong pattern in a room used on many if not all of the upholstered pieces and of course the window treatments.  You would expect the look to be a riot of color and pattern, but somehow by using more of a single pattern vs many diferent fabrics it has a calming effect on the space and allows you to still see shapes and froms in the room.  I just installed ( with help from the owner of the work room I use ) these drapes today for a customer and the room looked great.  I used an Elizabeth Eakins striped cotton rug along with this pattern from Thibaut.   Thibaut  produces fabrics and wallpaper in surprising colors and designs, which follow the latest color trends and are surprisingly very price competitive, when compared to other manufacturers. Surroundings in Mattapoisett has the complete collection of Thibaut sample wallpaper books and Thibaut  fabric samples for your consideration.   So next time your shopping for wallpaper and fabric for a room in your home consider matching them and make a big statement.
